These stations are on display in the Church in Rivermount Parish in Finglas, Dublin. They were painted by Fergus Lyons who is an artist from Portlaw, Co. Waterford. They have been lent to the parish by the National Gallery.
Stations of the Cross
From St Augustine:
Let them deny themselves, that is, not put their trust in themselves. Let them take up their cross, that is, put up with all the affronts of the world for the love of Christ.
Persist, persevere, endure, bear up under the delay. In this way you will bear your cross.
